During 14-16th of May, Incooling took part in the Electronics & Applications (E&A) trade fair in Utrecht and participated in the Elektor Start-up Games held during the exhibition. Eight Start-ups competed not only for this lofty title, but also for the nice marketing budget and an entry ticket to electronica, The world’s largest trade fair for electronics engineers that is held every two years in Munich (the next one is in November 2020).
Whilst we didn’t win as the first best start-up in the Benelux we surely scored 3rd with a nice marketing package of 10’000 Eur to spend at Elektor Magazine and still be known amongst the best start-ups in the Benelux region.
Great variety on offer
The participants were expected to convince the jury of the merits of their project, based on clear performance. Not only the best technical aspects were important, but also commercial viability and sustainability were of importance. The projects that were presented ranged from connected children’s toys to industrial energy management, and from 3D printing with metal to the cooling of future stacked-microprocessors.
In addition to the jury, the independent visitors to the trade fair also showed much interest in the Start-ups and their products, so that in the end everyone could look back at a successful event.
And the winners are…
- Best Start-up in the Benelux: Arkite with “Human Interface Mate”
- Second place: ValCUN with “Disruptive Metal 3D Print Technology”
