Engineering Intern

Internship Summary

During your internship at Incooling, you will be part of the team that is developing next-generation cooling systems for the data centre industry, assisting the core team in key product development steps. It is expected that you are familiar with basic thermodynamics and have an interest in computer hardware. Depending on your interest and knowledge, there is the opportunity to support a wide range of engineering activities like finding issues, root cause analysis, designing experiments, testing for validation and implementing design changes at the component or system level. The exact scope of the internship assignment and the duration can be determined and further discussed based on the student’s interests. Practical experience during the studies is preferred.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems and Control, Mechatronics or similar fields (all levels accepted, final year preferred).
  • Basic experience with rapid prototyping techniques.
  • Ability to conduct experiments to test ideas and improvements.
  • At Incooling we are trying to cool down the planet one server at a time, so you will need to have a good understanding of the laws of thermodynamics and heat transfer.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modelling is preferred. Familiar with 3D CAD Design.
  • Passionate about sustainability & company mission.  

Bonus Skills

  • Have a passion for computer hardware and overclocking.
  • Have experience in assembling computers.
