Engineering Intern in Energy Field

What will you be doing?

During your internship at Incooling, you will be part of the team that is developing the next generation cooling systems for the data centre industry. Depending on your interest and knowledge, there is the opportunity to support a wide range of engineering activities like finding issues, root cause analysis, designing experiments, testing for validation and implementing design changes at the component or system level. You will be working both with hardware components, such as heat exchangers and heat pumps, but also with thermal design and simulation software. The exact scope of the internship assignment and the duration can be determined and further discussed based on the student’s interests.

What do we require from you?

You are a student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems and Control or similar fields. It is preferred that you are in your final year of your Bachelor or Master study programme. You will need to have some basic experience with rapid prototyping techniques, natural convection theory, thermal management and/or refrigeration systems and you are able to conduct experiments to test ideas and improvements independently. At Incooling we are trying to cool down the planet one server at a time, so you will need some solid understanding of heat transfer and thermodynamics. Experience with 3D CAD modelling is preferred.
